Sarah Bowen, LISW

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience supporting teens, young adults, parents, and families. Throughout my career, I have worked as a clinical therapist, school social worker, mental health therapist, and college and career counselor, giving me a unique understanding of how emotional health, family relationships, education, independence, and future planning often intersect.

My clinical work focuses on anxiety, stress, life transitions, parenting challenges, and executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, emotional regulation, task initiation, problem-solving, and follow-through. I take a practical, collaborative, and strengths-based approach, helping clients better understand what is getting in the way and develop strategies that are realistic for their lives.

I earned both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa and completed my Professional Educator License with an Endorsement in School Social Work through Loyola University Chicago. I am certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and Strong Interest Inventory® assessments, which can help clients better understand their personalities, interests, strengths, and potential educational or career paths. I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and the Independent Educational Consultants Association.

As the owner of FutureU, my goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel understood, gain clarity, and build the skills and confidence needed to move forward.

Mike O'Brien

Life can feel especially overwhelming during seasons of change, uncertainty, or increased pressure. You may be managing anxiety, facing an important decision, adjusting to a new role, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself. Whatever brings you to therapy, you do not have to navigate it alone.

I specialize in supporting young adults and adults as they work through stress, anxiety, life transitions, and periods of feeling stuck or unsure of what comes next. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with feeling understood. I draw from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns while building practical tools for managing challenges with greater confidence.

Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and focused on your individual needs. I strive to create a warm, judgment-free space where you can be honest about where you are, explore what may be getting in the way, and take meaningful steps toward greater clarity, resilience, and well-being.

I earned a Sport Social Work Certification from the University of Michigan, with specialized training focused on athlete mental health and the integration of social work within athletic settings. I also hold a Master of Social Work and a Master of Arts in Sports Administration and Educational Leadership from Aurora University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwestern College.

Anglea La Luzerne, LISW

For 20+ years I've worked with clients to address substance use reduction or elimination, depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, relationship issues, family conflict, etc. Using a strengths-based perspective, I draw from CBT, MI, DBT, EMDR, systems theory, and pain reprocessing therapy. Together, we collaborate to find the resolutions that fit you best. It is an honor to be invited to walk with someone along their life's journey. In a supportive environment, we address the specifics of what brought you to therapy with compassion, grace, hope, and some humor to boot. Erin Wolter, LISW

I am a licensed independent social worker and earned my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Northern Iowa and Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa. With over 22 years of experience in the field, I have worked extensively in the school system as well as with college-aged students and the elderly population. My approach to therapy is strengths-based and solution-focused. I believe that everyone has the ability to overcome challenges and find the solutions they need to live their best life. By focusing on individual strengths and utilizing solution-focused techniques, I help my clients develop practical and effective solutions to their problems.
