"I don't know what I want to do after high school."
Unsure What to Study? Let’s Figure It Out Together.
Many students feel unsure about what they want to do or study after high school — and that’s completely normal. At FutureU, we help students explore majors, careers, personality style, and post-high school options through personalized guidance and evidence-based assessments designed to provide direction, insight, and confidence. How do we do that?
Post-High School Strategy Session
A personalized session that helps students turn a few ideas into a clearer direction. We use a guided interview process to compare related majors or career paths (like different types of engineering, marketing vs. communications, or nursing vs. PA) and map out possible next steps.
We help students:
• Explore the specific options already on their radar
• Understand what different paths actually look like (day-to-day work, required skills, and long-term outlook)
• Align choices with strengths, values, and goals
• Create a focused next-step plan — whether that’s coursework, college research, job shadowing, or gaining experience
Best for: Students who already have 2–3 ideas in mind and want help narrowing things down before making bigger decisions.
Strong Interest Inventory® — Included with the College Major & Career Exploration Package
Not sure what to study or where to even begin? Maybe there are a few ideas floating around, but still a lot of question marks. Many students tell us, “I have some ideas, but I’m not sure what actually fits — or what I might be missing,” and they’re not alone.
The Strong Interest Inventory® is a research-backed assessment that goes beyond gut feelings or guessing by identifying interests and work preferences, then connecting those insights to real-world majors, careers, and post-high school pathways — whether that’s a four-year degree, trade or technical program, military path, or another direction entirely.
This is not simply a quiz with automatic results. As Strong Interest Inventory® Certified Practitioners, we provide:
• Personalized interpretation of your student’s results
• Connections between assessment insights and majors, career fields, educational pathways, and future options
• Exploration of career areas that align with their profile
• More actionable and personalized direction for next steps
Best for: Students who feel stuck, uncertain, overwhelmed by options, or unsure where to start.
MBTI® Personality & Career Insights — Option within the College & Career Roadmap
The MBTI® (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) helps students better understand how they naturally take in information, make decisions, communicate, approach structure, and interact with the world around them. Rather than telling students what career they “should” pursue, the MBTI® is designed to increase self-awareness and provide insight into personality preferences, learning styles, work environments, and communication patterns.
We all know two people in the same career field who are completely different from each other. Two students may both be interested in healthcare, business, or engineering, but thrive in very different roles or environments within those fields. The way people communicate, process information, make decisions, and approach structure can influence the kinds of roles and environments they naturally enjoy most. The MBTI® helps students better understand those differences and how they may impact future college, career, and workplace fit.
As MBTI® Certified Practitioners, we integrate these insights into broader conversations around majors, careers, decision-making, motivation, personality style, and long-term fit — not just test results.
The MBTI® can be especially helpful for students who:
• Feel stuck between multiple paths
• Want deeper self-understanding beyond interests alone
• Are trying to better understand communication or learning style
• Feel overwhelmed by decision-making
• Want insight into environments where they may thrive
Please Note: The MBTI® is not designed to predict success or tell students what career they should choose. Instead, it serves as a tool for self-awareness, exploration, and more informed decision-making.
