FutureU Client Service Agreement

By participating in services provided by FutureU, the undersigned acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:

Nature of Services

FutureU provides educational consulting and support services, which may include college and career exploration and planning, executive functioning support, academic planning, ACT/SAT preparation, transition support, essay and application guidance, and related educational consulting services.

FutureU services are educational and consultative in nature and are not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, medical care, legal advice, or financial advice.

Participation in FutureU services does not establish a therapist-client relationship, counseling relationship, or any other licensed professional relationship unless the parties separately enter into a written clinical agreement for such services.

Participant Responsibility

The participant and/or undersigned acknowledges that educational outcomes depend on many factors outside of FutureU’s control, including but not limited to student effort, participation, motivation, academic performance, timing, institutional decisions, family involvement, and external circumstances.

The participant and/or undersigned accepts responsibility for decisions, actions, and implementation related to the educational consulting process.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

FutureU and its consultants do not guarantee specific outcomes related to:

college admissions
scholarships or financial aid
ACT/SAT score increases
academic performance
career placement
internship opportunities
college selection outcomes
educational or personal results

Any examples, testimonials, or prior outcomes shared by FutureU are illustrative only and are not guarantees of future results.

Fees and Payment

Payment is due prior to the start of services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by FutureU. Accepted forms of payment may include credit card, check, cash, or approved electronic payment methods.

FutureU reserves the right to reschedule or pause services if payment has not been received. Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees for completed services are non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy

Participants are asked to provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or appointment changes.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice may incur a $50 cancellation fee. Missed appointments or no-show appointments may incur a $100 fee.

FutureU reserves the right to waive fees in cases involving emergencies or extenuating circumstances.

Session Expiration and Refund Policy

For purposes of this Agreement, “sessions” and “packages” refer to prepaid educational consulting services purchased through FutureU.

Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by FutureU, purchased sessions and packages must be used within 90 days of purchase.

Unused sessions beyond 90 days may expire and become non-refundable.

Sessions and packages are non-transferable unless otherwise approved in writing by FutureU.

Refunds will not be issued for completed services.

Virtual Services and Technology

Participants understand that services may be provided virtually through phone, video conferencing, email, shared documents, or other electronic communication methods.

Virtual services are offered in accordance with applicable laws and regulations governing the services provided.

While reasonable efforts are made to protect privacy, FutureU cannot guarantee the security, confidentiality, or uninterrupted functioning of electronic communications, internet connections, video platforms, or third-party technology systems.

Participants understand that technical difficulties, interruptions, or unauthorized access risks may occur when using electronic communication methods.

Intellectual Property

Materials, resources, handouts, guides, assessments, templates, presentations, educational content, and other materials provided by FutureU are intended for personal use only and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, shared, or sold without written permission from FutureU.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FutureU and its consultants shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to participation in FutureU services.

Participants acknowledge that educational consulting outcomes vary and that FutureU is not responsible for decisions made by educational institutions, testing agencies, employers, scholarship organizations, or other third parties.

Term and Termination

This Agreement becomes effective upon submission of acknowledgment and remains in effect throughout participation in FutureU services.

Either party may discontinue services at any time. FutureU reserves the right to discontinue services in cases involving nonpayment, repeated cancellations, inappropriate behavior, lack of participation, or circumstances that interfere with the professional delivery of services.

Any outstanding balances remain the responsibility of the undersigned.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts located in Iowa.
